K-Factor of Sheetmetal material & it’s significance

👉 K-Factor of sheetmetal is the ratio of the distance between neutral fibre and inner layer of the sheetmetal (t) to the thickness of the sheetmetal (T).

👉 K Factor Value = t / T

👉 K-Factor is crucial to calculate flat blank size of the formed parts.

👉 Higher K-Factor value of the material indicates harder material.

👉 Maximum Value of K-Factor could be 0.5.

👉 Steel has more K-Factor value compared to Aluminium.
