K-Factor of Sheetmetal material & it’s significance
๐ K-Factor of sheetmetal is the ratio of the distance between neutral fibre and inner layer of the sheetmetal (t) to the thickness of the sheetmetal (T).
๐ K Factor Value = t / T
๐ K-Factor is crucial to calculate flat blank size of the formed parts.
๐ Higher K-Factor value of the material indicates harder material.
๐ Maximum Value of K-Factor could be 0.5.
๐ Steel has more K-Factor value compared to Aluminium.
